Safe Technology and Pollution Free Environment
View Published Articles →01About This Special Issue
The usage and exploitation of water resources brings the people to problem of providing pollution free environment. It could be achieved when exploiting technology is safe and specially designed under environment requirement. Some examples illustrate the necessity of such approach. Sea polluting by damaged oil tankers (Exxon Valdez Tanker $ 6.0 Billion in 1989 and Prestige Tanker $ 4.0 Billion in 2002). Sea polluting by damaged BP Deepwater Platform 2010 in Mexican Gulf – over$ 42.0 Billion. Similar examples could be mentioned in other areas such as oceanography/marine chemistry, biology, etc. The proposed Special Issue would accelerate the exchange of advanced technologies and implementation of best science solutions in practice.02Meet the Guest Editors

The Role of Novel 3D Point Contact Transmission in Ship Noise Pollution Reduction
Issue: Volume 4, Issue 1-1, January 2015Pages: 11-19Received: 14 November 2014Accepted: 19 November 2014Published: 24 November 2014Abstract: The ship noise causes marine pollution problems. The gear transmission contributes a significant part to ship noise. The replacement of regular gears by novel 3D point contact tooth gears is considered. The reduced noise levels up to 19 dBA are the advantages of transmissions based on invented gears having 3D point system of engaging. The implement... Show More -
Underwater Technique for Prevention of Oil Pollution
Issue: Volume 4, Issue 1-1, January 2015Pages: 1-10Received: 21 October 2014Accepted: 23 October 2014Published: 3 November 2014Abstract: The underwater tools, means, apparatus, vehicles and submarines are considered in the paper. It is stated that the majority of initial sources of petroleum pollution are underwater located. The novel concept of composing the emergency rescue complex is provided. The complex consists of best industrial technical components which could effectively so... Show More
